FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Where are you located?
Our physical address is 6510 Old Canton Road; Ridgeland, MS 39157 (see the contact page for our mailing address). Here is a map in case you need help finding our church:
2. What are your service times?
Sundays at 10 AM. If we have a special service, details will be posted on our home page.
3. What's the typical attire for a Sunday?
On most Sundays we wear business or business-casual attire, and on youth Sundays we typically dress down (e.g. ministry t-shirts and jeans).
4. Are you affiliated with a denomination?
We are not affiliated with a specific denomination, however our Apostle, Dr. Resia Thompson, maintains covenant accountability with Bishops Melvin and Lilia Bayne of Triumphant Full Gospel Assembly in Brooklyn, New York. Our church affirms the five-fold ministry structure outlined in Ephesians 4:11-12.
5. What do you believe?
For a general overview of our theology, please visit the beliefs page.
6. Are you involved in missions and outreach?
Yes! We lead ongoing local mission efforts throughout the city and state, and we support international outreach and evangelism through various ministries. We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is to be revealed in every sector of society, not just preached in a pulpit, so we view missions as central to the gospel. In addition to supporting outreach ministries that provide basic needs like medical and dental care in places like Haiti, Japan, South Africa and Jamaica, we engage ongoing mission efforts in our local community. Some of those efforts include:
Sponsorship of an elementary school in the Jackson area
Tutoring, test-preparation, and ACT seminars
Monthly support of a local women’s shelter
Fiscal training sessions
Support of Prison Ministry
7. What are some of your ministries?
Dr. Thompson teaches that all ministry to people flows out of ministry to God (1 Sam. 2:11), and our church is grateful to have ministries that strengthen, stir, support and serve God’s people. We strengthen believers in faith through ministries like education and prayer, and we cultivate their gifts and talents through ministries like media, worship arts, music, dance and drama. We support believers in various stages through targeted ministries such as children’s, youth, college/career, marriage, singles, women’s and men’s. Finally, we serve the community through ministries like outreach, evangelism, and health and wellness. Visit our church to find out how you and your children can get involved, or feel free to email us for information about a specific ministry!
